A new MORI
survey reveals that two million people in the UK are now using the
Internet to manage their money. This news comes despite fears about
security and the recent online scares. The Internet financial
services sector has grown by 11 per cent in the past year, with an
estimated 6.3 million people logging on to research money issues.
Breaking down the figures, 11 per cent of financial products
arranged online include car, home or travel insurance and credit
cards; ten per cent use the Internet to keep up-to-date with their
current or savings account, and six per cent arrange their stocks
and shares online
